 OTB 2008 Playoff Standings
To view the regular season standings, click here.

OTB will use a new format for playoff games for the 2008 season. In the past we have used a seeding process where teams were ranked from 1st through 8th in each division (American and National) based on where they finished in the regular season standings.

This year, all teams will be seeded 1st through 16th based on their regular season record. Similar to the format we have used before, the teams will be divided into 4 groups of 4 teams that play each other 3 times. The 4 brackets are now called:

Willie Mays bracket: 1st, 8th, 9th, and 16th seeds
Mickey Mantle bracket: 4th, 5th, 12th, and 13th seeds
Ted Williams bracket: 3rd, 6th, 11th, and 14th seeds
Roberto Clemente bracket: 2nd, 7th, 10th, and 15th seeds

Each team plays 3 playoff games in Round 1 in a round-robin format within their bracket (Mays, Mantle, Williams, and Clemente). The teams with the best record in these 4 brackets will face each other in Round 2 (Ruth and Aaron brackets) The winners in Round 2 will face each other in the OTB Championship. In the event of a first-place tie in any of the brackets in the round-robin, a tie-breaker process will apply. Click here to see the tie-breaker process for both the regular season and the playoffs.
